Howie caught 2 trout!
After hiking an hour to a lake with an unfindable cache, Howie caught 2 trout.
Float the river
After driving to Cooper Landing, we took the evening float trip because the dude said you see the most animals then. Several birds….sheep in the far distance…that is all.
Exit Glacier
Yes it is called Exit Glacier. The original explorers used it to get off of the ice field.
Haircut
Howie got a haircut. We did laundry. I visited the Sealife Center. In general a slow day.
Even the bears know better than to fish in the cold rain.
We took a float plane accross the inlet to sit in the rain and wait for a few bears.

Fourth of July

Halibut anyone?
Howie went fishing for halibut and I roamed the town.
Active Whale
We took the Discovery to Seldovia. On the way we saw birds and sea otters. On the way back we saw an incredible whale show.
Too much driving
The long days of travel are starting to get to me. We did the ferry from Valdez to Whittier, getting up at 5 am. Then though the tunnel and on to Homer.
