Even the bears know better than to fish in the cold rain.

We took a float plane accross the inlet to sit in the rain and wait for a few bears.

Fourth of July

We stopped at Anchor Point to look for eagles. We saw several, but it was low tide and it is suppose to be even better at high tide.
Next we visited to Kenai fourth of July fair….small town America at its best.
Drove around the old historic district.

Active Whale

We took the Discovery to Seldovia.
On the way we saw birds and sea otters. On the way back we saw an incredible whale show.

Too much driving

The long days of travel are starting to get to me.
We did the ferry from Valdez to Whittier, getting up at 5 am.
Then though the tunnel and on to Homer.

Whitehorse – big city with no people

Whitehorse Yukon has a huge land area for the number of people living here.
We walked the 5KM trail at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve, viewing some animals that we have failed to see in the wild.
After lunch we drove to Miles Canyon
