The Emerald Buddha is jade

After an early morning pickup, we drove out of town. The first stop was the train market. A local market on a train track. 8 times a day the merchants move the stuff back off of the track to let the train go past.
Then a stop at a cocunut farm.
We rode a boat thru the canals to the floating market- a market type common years ago, but now mainly for tourists.
Then an hour drive back to town and a visit to the Grand Palace to see the Emerald Buddha.
Howie took the van back to the hotel to work on the excellent pictures, and I stayed to visit the
Reclining Buddha and took public transport home.
